Robert McCurdy, B.S.

Assistant Archaeologist


Robert has worked for AAR since 2006 and has been a full time employee since 2007.  Robert has experience in all project activities including background research, equipment maintenance and management, field work including technician, crew chief and leading projects.  Both in the field and the lab Robert specializes in identification and analyses of prehistoric stone tool technologies and serves as AAR’s assistant lithic analyst.  Robert has co-authored or contributed to dozens of technical reports for AAR.


Robert was born in Washington D.C. but was raised from a young age in Portland, OR.  Robert spent his youth heavily involved in sports where he was able to travel and meet people from many backgrounds and cultures.  In college Robert applied his interests in these areas to a degree in General Anthropology.

Robert spends his spare time following the Portland Trail Blazers, and Timbers as well as Oregon State Athletics.  He also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
